My name is Robin, I live in southern California and share a home with my husband and eight pets.

The name Yellowstar Shih Tzu was inspired by my love of nature and my favorite pass  time bird watching. The Yellowstar plant is actually an invasive species, but does have its place in nature. It is the favorite food of the American goldfinch, which feeds on its thistle seeds. It also attracts the honey bee. It grows all over California and has a yellow flower which is star shaped. The Goldfinch is one of my favorite birds here in California along with the Western Bluebird. Yellow and Blue are also my favorite colors.

I was born in Madison, Wisconsin ,and came to California in the late 1970s and had my first daughter April. she was born in 1979, we lived in Carmichael CA at that time. My sister Andrea joined me out here in California in the later 1980s and I had my second daughter Jessica. She was born in 1987.

I lived in the Sacramento area from 1979 to 2004. I taught preschool and raised my daughters as a single mother. I returned to college and took several science courses and became really interested in nature and science. I continued to teach preschool and added science to my lessons.

In 2004  I met my husband Kevin, and moved to southern California where we lived in orange county for a few years, and then decided to move  into a house in lake Elsinore., then we bought our first house together in Perris, CA, where I now live and enjoy raising shih tzu puppies. I am now spending my days at home with my dogs and their babies, where I am providing plenty of quality care in a safe, and clean environment.
